Despite the effort showing at times, the film gets to be a good deal of fun when it gets to the scenes of Riddick outwitting the mercenaries

Ever since William Peter Blatty created The Exorcist, filmmakers have been recycling the same barf bag theatrics for the last forty years. This is no different but the exorcism plot has been slung together with the dream incursion concept from Inception, which keeps things interesting for some way into the film
